The plant is a dwarf shrub with an upright growth habit, reaching 60–90 cm in height and 90–105 cm in width. The foliage is small, dark green with a glossy sheen.
The flowers are semi-double, colored in fluorescent pink or lilac-pink. The variety is characterized by abundant flowering in the spring period with a second flush of bloom in the autumn.
Winter hardiness corresponds to USDA zones 6–10. Under high humidity conditions, the plant is susceptible to powdery mildew, rust, and rots, and therefore requires good soil drainage. It is used in landscape design for borders, hedges, and container cultivation.
