The Katart variety is included in scientific research devoted to the analysis of glutenin subunit composition and their influence on the rheological properties of dough. In these works, it serves as one of the samples for studying grain quality characteristics.

Field trial materials for the variety provided individual indicators of yield and resistance to common bunt. A comprehensive description of morphological traits, including plant height or maturity group, is not presented in open publications.
