CACHON is a vernacular name (synonym) for the wine grape variety Azal Tinto, also known by the name Amaral. This variety of Portuguese origin is used in winemaking to create red wines, particularly in the Minho region for the production of Vinho Verde.

Azal Tinto grapes have black skin. Specific agronomic characteristics for CACHON as a separate variety are not distinguished in the literature.
