The variety is a local cultivar not related to modern breeding and is being studied within the framework of projects for the conservation of genetic potential. Historically, it was known under the name Pasera, as grape growers harvested it for subsequent hanging and storage in specialized rooms.
Currently, the variety is undergoing scientific description, including studies of the aromatic profile of its wines and susceptibility to diseases, such as downy mildew and fungi causing dieback of arms. Precise morphological characteristics of the plant have not yet been presented in the literature.
