Variety description

The variety is a hybrid of Aramon and Petit Bouschet (according to other sources, Graciano and Petit Bouschet). Leaves are large, three- or five-lobed, and turn red in autumn. Clusters are medium-sized, conical, and range from semi-compact to compact. Berries are medium-large and round in shape.
The plant prefers fertile soils that ensure high yields and demonstrates good compatibility with rootstocks, except for Kober 5 BB. The variety possesses relative resistance to Botrytis cinerea.
A wine variety characterized by a sufficient level of sugar content and acidity. Due to the intense coloration of the juice, the main sphere of application is blending to improve the color of table wines. The flavor quality of the finished product is rated as simple.
