ActiveVitis vinifera L. · Common grape vine
TIMOTHY SHEEHAN
10 August 2026
The vine has medium vigor. The leaf is medium-sized, round, five-lobed, deeply dissected, with dense pubescence on the underside. The bunch is cylindro-conical or conical, often winged, and varies from medium-dense to loose. The berry is round or spheroidal, smaller than average size, golden-yellow in color, with thick skin and juicy pulp.
Mid-late ripening variety with high and stable yields. Resistant to late spring frosts; the loose structure of the bunch provides some resistance to Botrytis cinerea. Adapts to various training systems, prefers clay-limestone soils and arid climates.
Used primarily for the production of white wines, as well as sweet wines (passito) and vermouths. The wines are characterized by refreshing acidity, medium body, and an aromatic profile with notes of citrus, apple, pear, white flowers, and almond.
