The variety is a technical grape cultivar with gray-pink or amber berries of medium to large size. The bunches of the variety are conical, compact, and often branched. The leaf is medium, five-lobed.
The plant is characterized by high vigor and moderate yield. The variety tolerates drought and strong winds well and is adapted to poor, stony, or calcareous soils. Regarding diseases, it shows relative resistance to powdery mildew, but is susceptible to downy mildew, gray mold, phomopsis, and the grape berry moth.
Wines from this variety possess an oily texture, relatively low acidity, and fruit notes of apricot, peach, and dried fruits. The variety is late-maturing and is traditionally cultivated using short pruning.
