The variety is a unique, independent grape historically grown in the Arve Valley. It is used both for creating varietal wines and in blends. The finished product is characterized by density, structure, aging potential, and aromatics with floral, citrus, and herbal notes.
The plant belongs to mid-season ripening varieties. The bushes have a drooping growth habit; the variety is moderately productive and prefers stony slopes. To manage bush development, short pruning or the Guyot system is recommended.
The variety is characterized by high sensitivity to downy mildew, as well as susceptibility to powdery mildew and bud mite infestation.
