The variety was obtained by crossing the varieties Alphonse Lavallée and Lignan black. The plant is characterized by vigorous growth; the shoots have a tendency to lodging, which requires the use of trellises and long pruning.

The clusters of the variety are small and moderately compact. The berries are medium-sized, round or short-elliptical in shape, blue-black in color with juicy, medium-density flesh. The variety possesses good keeping quality and transportability, however, it is sensitive to downy mildew, powdery mildew, and mites, and is prone to berry cracking.
