The variety is of Greek origin and is distinguished by an early start to the growing season, while berry ripening periods vary from early to mid-season. The bunches are predominantly small or medium, have a cylindrical shape, and the berries themselves are small.

The plant is sensitive to spring frosts due to early bud burst, and is also susceptible to powdery mildew and grey mold in humid and cool climate conditions. The berries are prone to rapid sugar accumulation, overripening, and raisin formation.

This grape belongs to wine varieties and is used for the production of a wide range of wines: from dry and semi-dry to dessert, fortified, and sparkling. It is distinguished by characteristic floral aromas with notes of roses, citrus, and exotic fruits.
