The variety is indigenous to Algeria and is used primarily as a table grape. Its bunches have moderate density, which helps to avoid deformation and cracking of the berries, the skin of which is red.

The flower of the variety is hermaphroditic. The maturity index, defined as the ratio of sugar content to acidity, reaches high values from 31 to 55. Depending on the season, the optimal harvest period falls at the end of September.
