The variety is indigenous to the Cycladic Islands and Rhodes. The vine is characterized by a hermaphroditic flowering type. The leaves are small, five-lobed, and deeply dissected, with blunt teeth on the edges. The clusters are of medium size, cylindrical in shape, and weigh at least 500 g. The berries are medium-sized, round, and yellowish-green in color.
The variety belongs to late ripening groups. It possesses high drought tolerance; however, it shows sensitivity to fungal diseases such as downy mildew and powdery mildew. It is a wine grape variety, the wines from which are distinguished by floral and fruit notes, moderate acidity, and medium alcohol content.
