The variety is a hybrid of Petit Bouschet and Grenache. It belongs to the mid-season maturity category. The leaves are large and medium-dissected, and the berries are round with thick skin, which ensures good transportability.

The plant possesses high growth vigor but requires short pruning to prevent vine exhaustion due to crop overload. The variety shows some resistance to powdery mildew (Oidium), however, it is susceptible to downy mildew (mildew), Phomopsis, bacterial necrosis, and wood diseases, and is also sensitive to wind.

It is used exclusively for wine production. With proper yield control, it allows for the production of full-bodied wines with notes of black currant, plum, blackberry, chocolate, and spices, whereas excessive yield leads to a loss of flavor expressiveness.
