The variety is a wine grape used for creating red, rosé, and young wines, as well as sweet wines. The plant is characterized by high vine vigor and hermaphroditic flowers. The variety possesses high yield and resistance to drought, heat, and grey mold, while exhibiting moderate susceptibility to downy mildew, powdery mildew, and esca.
Wines produced from this grape are distinguished by fruity aromas of red berries and spicy notes. In certain regions, such as Lanzarote, the vines are often cultivated in special depressions in volcanic soil for protection against wind and moisture retention.
