Variety description

The variety is late-maturing, with a ripening period of 150–160 days. Leaves are medium-sized or large, rounded, and almost entire. Bunches are medium-sized, compact, cylindrical-conical in shape, often with a wing. Berries are rounded, yellow-green in color with dark spots.

The plant has high vigor and increased winter hardiness down to -22...-24°C, although it is inferior to the Rkatsiteli and Riesling varieties in this indicator. The variety is susceptible to downy mildew and gray mold, while characterized by increased resistance to powdery mildew.

Wines from Aligote are distinguished by high acidity and freshness, having a light or medium body. The aromatic profile is dominated by floral and herbal notes, as well as shades of citrus, apples, and mineral tones.
