The variety is for winemaking and is authorized for the production of wines with protected designation of origin in the Vinho Verde and Douro regions. The adult leaf is large, round, with 3–5 lobes. The bunch is large, long, and dense, with a short peduncle.

The berries are large, elliptical-elongated in shape, with a thick yellow-green skin covered with bloom. The flesh is firm, not very juicy, with a simple flavor. The variety is considered rustic and is distinguished by high susceptibility to cryptogamic diseases.
