The variety is a vigorous plant with five-lobed slightly dissected leaves and bisexual flowers. The clusters are medium-sized and conical in shape, the berries are medium-sized, round or slightly oval, yellow-green in color with thin skin.

The plant is late-ripening, characterized by a potential for high sugar accumulation and moderate acidity. The variety is sensitive to downy mildew and requires careful pruning due to the active growth of shoots.

Wines from Avesso are characterized by bright notes of peach, nectarine, green apple and pear, as well as distinct minerality and the ability to reach a high alcohol content.
