The variety is a natural hybrid of the Mammolo variety and an unknown grape variety. The leaf is five-lobed, deeply dissected. The flower is hermaphrodite. The bunches are medium, cylindrical, elongated, of medium density. The berries are medium, round, white in color, covered with a thick waxy bloom. The skin is thin, the pulp is juicy, the taste is neutral.
The variety belongs to late maturity groups. It is characterized by high yield, but low resistance to fungal diseases and frost. It is used in winemaking to produce simple table wines. The name Biancone may be a synonym for other varieties, therefore it requires verification of origin when choosing planting material.
