Bianchetta Genovese is an autochthonous variety of the Liguria region, historically cultivated in the vicinity of Genoa. The variety has medium-sized five-lobed leaves, medium-sized conical bunches, and round, golden-yellow berries with thick skin.

The variety is late-ripening, prone to bushy growth, and requires careful pruning and tying. It is moderately susceptible to fungal diseases, prefers hilly areas in the interior of the region, and tolerates hot climates poorly.

Wines made from this variety possess fresh acidity, moderate alcohol content, and aromas of citrus, green apple, and herbs. The variety is often confused with Albarola, Bianchetta Trevigiana, and Bosco due to the similarity of morphological traits.
