The variety is cultivated mainly in the province of Treviso. It is classified as a wine grape used for creating wines, including traditional local variants such as Torchiato di Fregona, as well as sparkling wines produced by the traditional or ancestral method.

The plant is rare and is at risk of extinction. The crop grows in high-altitude vineyards near forest areas and is characterized by low yields.

Wine from this variety has a golden-yellow color with greenish hues. The flavor and aroma profile includes fruity notes of apricot and citrus, mineral nuances, and upon aging, it develops herbal, yeasty, and nutty nuances. Genetically, the variety is identical to the Brazilian variety Peverella.
