Vines are vigorous with vertical shoot growth. Clusters are characterized by medium to large size and moderate density. Berries are medium-sized, round, and have a black-blue color. Leaves are 5-lobed, medium or large.

The variety possesses resistance to fungal diseases, including Botrytis cinerea, as well as frost resistance and drought tolerance. Obtaining a high-quality harvest requires favorable sites and high-quality trellis systems.

Wine variety intended for the production of red wines with deep color and notes of black currant. Wines have a high aging potential and are suitable for aging in oak barrels; the variety is also used in blends to improve the structure and balance of beverages.
