The variety belongs to the species Vitis vinifera. Genetically, it is the result of crossing Blaufränkisch and Dornfelder varieties. Bushes are of moderate vigor with a perfect flower type, ensuring self-pollination.
Bunches are medium-sized, ranging from loose to dense, with black berries. The variety has good frost resistance. Wines from this variety are characterized by a velvety structure, the presence of tannins, and pronounced fruitiness with notes reminiscent of Cabernet Sauvignon.
