Variety description

10 August 2026

The variety belongs to the ecological-geographical group of Black Sea basin varieties; the vines are vigorous. The leaves are medium to large, five-lobed or three-lobed, weakly dissected. The clusters are large, conical, and of medium density. The berries are medium to large, round, yellowish-green, and can acquire a copper hue upon ripening. The skin is thin but tough, the flesh is juicy with a harmonious taste.

Technical maturity occurs in late September to early October. The variety is characterized by high and stable yields and is relatively drought-tolerant; however, it is sensitive to low winter temperatures (withstanding down to -19...-22°C) and fungal diseases such as downy mildew and powdery mildew. The variety is also known by the synonyms Galan and Smederevka.
