The variety is classified as a wine grape and is intended for the production of white wines. The ripening period is medium to medium-late. The wines are characterized by high aromatics with notes of rose, lychee, clove, exotic fruits, spices, and honey, and possess a full-bodied and oily structure.
The plant is relatively susceptible to powdery mildew and has moderate cold hardiness, showing sensitivity to late spring frosts. The variety is the result of natural evolution and centuries of selection, representing an ancient aromatic mutation of Savagnin rose.
