The variety is a local discovery from the province of Brescia, known since the 16th century. It possesses medium to high vigor, forms medium dense cylindrical-conical clusters and round berries that are larger than average.
The variety ripens late, in the first ten days of October. It shows resistance to downy mildew and moderate resistance to grey mold. It is characterized by high levels of malic and tartaric acids, as well as a neutral flavor profile with notes of almond, white flowers, honey, and apricot.
Used as a wine grape variety for blending sparkling wines, allowing for the adjustment of acidity and the refreshing of the beverage structure under conditions of climatic change.
