The variety is a natural hybrid of Roter Veltliner and Sylvaner varieties. It belongs to wine varieties and is used for the production of white wines possessing full-bodied, soft, and nutty-spicy notes.

The plant belongs to early or mid-season varieties. It possesses resistance to drought conditions, however, it is characterized by high susceptibility to downy mildew and gray mold, as well as a tendency to flower/ovary drop.
