The variety is a complex interspecific hybrid obtained by crossing the varieties Plantet and Seibel 5163. The plant is characterized by vigorous growth and a semi-erect bush habit. The leaves are heart-shaped or wedge-shaped, and can be entire or three-lobed.
The grapevine is fertile and forms a large number of small bunches with rounded berries. The variety was bred to overcome the susceptibility of European varieties to fungal infections, including black rot.
