The variety is the result of crossing Chardonnay and Müller-Thurgau. The vine is characterized by good cane maturation and high yield; the variety is undemanding regarding soil conditions. Leaves are 3–5-lobed, slightly dissected. Bunches are medium-sized, elongated-cylindrical, and relatively compact. Berries are medium-sized, oval in shape, green to yellowish in color, sometimes with dark spots on the skin.
The variety possesses susceptibility to fungal diseases and a predisposition to rachis necrosis. It is used for the production of light, golden-yellow wines with fruity notes, fresh acidity, and a delicate muscat aroma.
