The variety belongs to the relatively early ripening category. The vines are characterized by high vigor. Bunches are medium or large, cylindrical-conical in shape, often winged, and dense. Berries are medium, round, dark green in color, acquiring a brownish or reddish tan upon full maturity, with juicy flesh and thin skin.
The variety demonstrates sensitivity to frost and average resistance to downy mildew (Plasmopara viticola). It is highly susceptible to grey rot (Botrytis cinerea), which under favorable conditions facilitates the production of dessert wines. Ezerjó is often used by breeders as a parent line for developing new grape varieties.
