The variety is a hybrid bred in 1950. It has the synonyms Eyerfürte, Ezerfurfu, Kecskemét 5, and Miklóstelepi 5. The name translates as “thousand bunches” due to the plant's ability to form a large quantity of fruits.

The grape belongs to early-ripening and high-yielding varieties. The plant is resistant to frost, however, it is sensitive to drought and susceptible to grey mold.

It is used exclusively as a technical variety for wine production. The resulting beverages are characterized by a rich taste with nutty notes and are often used in blends of Hungarian wines.
