The variety is the result of breeding work in 1950. It is a high-yielding crop characterized by good resistance to low temperatures; however, the variety is sensitive to drought conditions and is prone to Botrytis cinerea.
The purpose of the variety is the production of white wines, which are characterized by high alcohol content and mild acidity. The name of the variety translated from Hungarian means "thousand bunches".
