The variety has a medium or medium-early maturity group and is characterized by large clusters and berries. The plant has weak vigor, is prone to late budburst and flowering, and is also distinguished by late onset of fruiting and uneven yield.
The grapes are drought tolerant, however, they are sensitive to low temperatures and have an increased susceptibility to fungal diseases. Technical characteristics allow for the production of light wines with low tannin content, good acidity, and specific spicy notes in the taste.
