The variety was created using the gene pyramiding method based on genetic material from American and Asian grape species. The plant possesses resistance to fungal diseases due to a complex of genes Rpv1, Rpv3.1, Rpv10 (against downy mildew) and Run1, Ren3, Ren9 (against powdery mildew), and also demonstrates low susceptibility to Botrytis and black rot.
The use of this variety allows for a reduction in fungicide application by 80–90% compared to traditional varieties. In individual cases, 1–2 preventive treatments are permitted to control secondary diseases.
