Variety description

The variety is a natural hybrid of Savagnin and an unknown variety. The bushes are characterized by medium to above-average vigor, with bisexual flowers. The ripening period is early-mid. Small clusters have a cylindrical-conical, often winged shape and are characterized by density.

The berries are small, rounded, yellowish-green in color, with thin skin and juicy flesh. The yield of the variety varies from low to medium, with a tendency for ovary shedding. The variety is not susceptible to phomopsis viticola and is relatively resistant to botrytis cinerea, but is susceptible to oidium.

It is used for wine production, including port wines in the Douro and Trás-os-Montes regions. The resulting wines are characterized by high acidity, a mineral taste, and full body, with pronounced aromas of banana, pear, citrus, and white flowers.
