The Flower Riesling variety, known under the code BV-17-12-2, is a complex interspecific hybrid obtained through multi-stage crossing of the forms (Kerner x Festivalnyj) x Rheinriesling. It belongs to the PIWI group of varieties, which provides it with good or very good resistance to major fungal diseases of grapes.

The variety is characterized by a significantly early ripening period; in the climatic conditions of the Czech Republic, the harvest is ready by the beginning of September. The berries have high potential for sugar accumulation, and the variety is intended exclusively for use in winemaking.
