Furmint P.51 is a clone of the Furmint variety, obtained as a result of breeding work involving selection within the variety population. This clone belongs to wine grape varieties used in winemaking for the production of white wines.
During scientific research, it was established that the clone demonstrates specific acclimatization mechanisms to drought, distinguished by the response of stomata to water deficit. It exhibits signs of anisohydric behavior, which allows for the maintenance of photosynthetic activity under conditions of moderate water stress.
