The variety is also known by the breeding number Weinsberg S 397. It is a hybrid of Riesling and Pinot Gris varieties, which was confirmed by genetic analysis. It belongs to the mid-season or mid-late maturity group.

The plant possesses resistance to grey mold and downy mildew. Intended exclusively for winemaking. The finished wines are characterized by fruity notes of pineapple, peach, apricot, and citrus, reminiscent of the Riesling style.
