The variety is an autochthonous white grape widespread in the northwestern part of Croatia and the Slovenian Posavje region. It is a wine grape used for creating light dry wines with pronounced freshness and high acidity, and it is also included in the composition of the regional blends Cviček and Belokranjec.

The vines possess vigorous growth, although there are modern clones with moderate development strength. The variety belongs to the medium-late maturity group and exhibits resistance to grey mold (Botrytis cinerea). Upon reaching technological maturity, the sugar content of the berries is about 17.5 °Brix, and total acidity is about 7.6 g/l.

Wines from this variety have a lemon-yellow hue with floral and apple notes. The taste is characterized as harmonious and simple, with medium or light body.
