The variety is the result of a natural cross between Aubun and Pougayen. The vines are vigorous and thermophilic, requiring planting in well-lit areas. Short pruning is recommended. The variety is relatively resistant to major fungal diseases, however, it is prone to flower drop.
Leaves are round, medium-sized, and almost entire. Clusters are large or medium, conical in shape, and very dense. Berries are medium-sized, ellipsoidal, dark blue with a waxy bloom. A wine variety for the production of wines with high acidity and pronounced tannins, possessing aromas of red fruits and undergrowth.
