The variety belongs to the species Vitis vinifera and is widely distributed in northeastern Italy, where it has adapted to the alpine climate. Genetically, it is an independent variety, distinct from other muscat varieties with similar names in Austria or Germany.

The clusters of the variety have a medium size and a loose structure. The berries are distinguished by thick skin and juicy pulp, acquiring a yellow-golden color upon ripening. The variety is characterized as relatively resistant to rots and diseases, and harvesting is usually carried out in September.
