The variety is the result of crossing Sylvaner and Chasselas varieties. It is a vigorous plant prone to active formation of lateral shoots, suckers, and lignifying tendrils, which requires intensive manual labor for pruning. The variety is characterized by irregular bud break in the spring.
The plant requires favorable conditions to achieve high must maturity indices. The variety has low resistance to winter frosts and is prone to chlorosis and bunch stem necrosis, however, it shows relative resistance to Botrytis cinerea. Wines made from it are distinguished by a fruity aroma, good body, and high acidity.
