Variety description

10 August 2026

The variety is of French origin and is genetically related to the Courbu Blanc, Gros Courbu, and Lauzet varieties. It belongs to the late maturity group. The leaves are medium-sized, five-lobed with an open V-shaped petiole sinus. Clusters are small or medium, dense, and cylindrical in shape. Berries are small, round, acquire a whitish-yellow color upon ripening, and have thin skin and juicy pulp.

It is characterized by low yields and weak resistance to fungal diseases, particularly grey mold (Botrytis cinerea). The variety has poor tolerance to severe frosts and high humidity. It is an exclusively wine grape, which is rarely used as a single varietal, more often acting as a component in blends for the production of high-quality aromatic white wines.
