Variety description

10 August 2026

The variety is an ancient Western European crop that originated as a mutation of the Pinot noir variety. The berries have a grayish-pink color, which is reflected in the name of the variety, and the clusters have a dense conical shape resembling a pinecone. The leaves are medium-sized, rounded, five-lobed, and dark green.

The plant belongs to late-maturing varieties, reaching full maturity in October. It is characterized by low resistance to fungal diseases, such as powdery mildew, and a susceptibility to chlorosis. The variety is intended exclusively for winemaking, producing full-bodied wines with notes of fruit, honey, and nuts.
