The variety Réselle (synonyms Recele, VB 86-3) is the result of a cross between Bacchus and Seyval Blanc involving genes of Vitis lincecumii, Vitis rupestris and Vitis vinifera. The vine is characterized by strong upright growth and hermaphroditic flowers.

The plant possesses high tolerance to downy mildew and powdery mildew, which is achieved partly due to the loose structure of the clusters, promoting berry drying. The variety has good winter hardiness. Clusters are medium-sized, berries are yellow-green and round.

Wine from this variety is distinguished by a stylistic similarity to Müller-Thurgau, often contains about 10.5% alcohol and has a keeping quality of two to three years.
