The variety has a medium to medium-late ripening period and a hermaphrodite flower. The leaves are round, five-lobed, slightly dissected, with practically no pubescence on the underside. The bunches are small, cylindrical or cylindrical-conical in shape, ranging from dense to medium density.

The berries are small, oval, greenish-yellow or greenish-white in color with a thin waxy bloom; the skin is of medium thickness, and the flesh is juicy. The variety has low resistance to frost and fungal diseases, in particular, it is susceptible to grey mold (Botrytis cinerea).

A wine grape variety known as the basis for the Swiss "Glacier wine". Young wines are characterized by acidity and notes of gooseberry, green apple, and elderberry, and when aged using the solera system, they acquire oxidative tones of dried fruits, nuts, and spices.
