Variety description

The variety is the result of a natural crossing of the Gouais blanc and a Traminer descendant, historically associated with the Rhine valley. Leaves are medium-sized, rounded, wrinkled, with a bronze hue. Bunches are small or medium, cylindrical, often dense. Berries are small or medium, greenish-yellow, with thin but firm skin and a harmonious taste.

Riesling renski requires a long ripening period and possesses high resistance to cold. The variety is susceptible to typical grape diseases, such as powdery mildew and grey mold. It is used exclusively for technical purposes for the production of a wide range of white wines, from dry to sweet and sparkling, distinguished by high acidity and extractivity.
