Variety description

The variety is the result of crossing the Olivette Blanche and Alphonse Lavallée varieties. It is intended primarily for fresh consumption, although in a number of regions it is used for the production of light red and rosé wines. The vine has medium vigor and requires mandatory trellising.

The bunches of the variety are of medium or large size, conical in shape, and moderately compact. The berries are large, ellipsoid, dark blue in color with a pronounced bloom. The flesh is firm and covered by a thick but delicate skin. The variety is distinguished by high transportability and the ability to be stored for a long time, including on the vine.

The vegetation period is characterized by late bud break and late fruit ripening. The variety is sensitive to downy mildew, powdery mildew, and Phomopsis viticola, while showing low susceptibility to grey mold and berry drop.
