Variety description

The variety is of mid-season maturity; bud break occurs 9 days after the Chasselas variety, and ripening occurs 3.5 weeks after it. The clusters and berries are large; upon ripening, the berries acquire a green-yellow color.

The variety has a historical origin in southern France. Due to the phylloxera infestation and a shift in winemakers' preferences toward more intense varieties, the planting area has decreased sharply. Today, the variety is considered rare and is used by individual winemakers for blends.
