Variety description

10 August 2026

The Sauvignon Rytos variety, also known as UD-55.100, is a vigorous vine of medium maturity. The plant adapts well to various training systems, and long pruning, such as the Guyot system, is recommended.

Bunches are medium-sized, cylindrical and compact, consisting of small ellipsoid berries with thin greenish-golden skin and neutral-tasting pulp. The variety has high resistance to downy mildew, powdery mildew, and black rot, but due to the density of the bunches, it may be affected by gray mold.

The variety accumulates a high level of sugar while maintaining good acidity. Wines from this variety are characterized by high aroma intensity with notes of tropical fruits and minerality, suitable both for young consumption and for long aging.
