Variety description

10 August 2026

The variety is a complex interspecific hybrid obtained by crossing Rakiš and Merlan. Its genetic composition includes genes of Vitis aestivalis, Vitis berlandieri, Vitis labrusca, Vitis rupestris, and Vitis vinifera.

The variety belongs to the late or very late category, reaching maturity at the end of October. Leaves are five-lobed and pentagonal in shape. Bunches are medium-sized, loose or medium-dense; berries are small, round, and yellow-green. The yield of the variety is average, and the sugar content of the must is high.

Wines from the Savilon variety are characterized as full-bodied and fresh, with a lemon-green or yellow-green hue. Their flavor and aroma profile includes floral, fruity, herbaceous, and spicy tones, as well as notes of honey and vanilla. High resistance to diseases allows the use of the variety in organic viticulture.
